Irwindale,CA -- Will Rodgers and the No.7 Craft Beer Racing team had a solid start to the day qualifying ninth on the charts for race one of Saturday nights doubleheader. The final race weekend of the Inaugural NAPA 500 Challenge saw driver Will Rodgers in the hunt yet again for the cash bonus coming off of his career-best third place run in Bakersfield. Rodgers would work his way from ninth to fifth by the halfway point in the 100 lap race. A battle would ensure2 against the Sunrise Ford teammates for much of the race. On the final laps, Will would duke it out with car no.9 and an exciting battle would ensue that saw Rodgers on the winning end by a mere two thousands of a second allowing him to finish fifth in race 1. The finish is Rodgers' third consecutive top-5 in the three races run in 2017.
