KERN COUNTY PREVIEW: With an oval track victory on their minds and a new sponsor on the car, Will Rodgers and the Jefferson Pitts Racing team are ready to head out to Bakersfield, CA for Saturday night's #NASCAR K&N Pro Series West season finale event.
In an exciting new partnership, KELLY Benefit Strategies will adorn the No.7 car on Saturday night at Kern County Raceway. KELLY is one of the nation's largest employee benefit administrators, brokers, payroll providers, and consultants. KELLY delivers high quality, cost-effective, integrated corporate benefit and payroll services, as well as workforce management solutions.
"I'm really excited to have KELLY on board with us this weekend in California," stated Will. "KELLY plays a very important role for many businesses around the country and we are excited to go out and compete for the victory with them on Saturday."
Will heads into Saturday night's event with high hopes of solidly finishing out what's been a very impressive season so far. The NKPSW has already competed at Kern County once this season, in which Will was able to bring home a solid third place finish. Will is looking to improve that finish that stat by two positions on Saturday night. Also, Will heads into the event fourth in points, only two points behind third.
"I think we'll have a great car on Saturday night. We were able to test at Kern County not too long ago, and the JPR guys had a fast car there for me, so I think we'll be competitive this weekend."
Saturday night's West Coast Stock Car HOF 150 is set to get the green flag around 8:00PM (PT). There will be two practice sessions and qualifying prior to the event.
